About
Guided by fragmented narratives—from B-horror movies, pulp TV, Time-Life books, and taxidermy— my work is an attempt to wrestle with the absurdity of existence. What began as a collaboration with my longtime partner, Kate Burnet, has evolved into a more personal and spiritual exploration of objects, materials, and stories that reflect my ongoing search for meaning, identity, and connection.
From UFO lore to the ever-present potato, from the fundamental tree stump to the magical world within a sitcom—my work builds on what is discarded or overlooked. In this process, I find connections between the banal and the surreal, the personal and the universal. Vessels, pipes, and body parts come together in sculptural and installation pieces that ask the viewer to question the spaces between the ordinary and the extraordinary.
Past selves, present ideas, and future interpretations all meet in my work. There’s a kind of discovery in each piece, a conversation between different versions of myself—sometimes playful, sometimes serious, sometimes uncomfortable. I don’t plan these connections, they are delivered to me. Ultimately, I’m not here to offer answers. My work is a reflection of my ongoing search, full of contradictions and moments of vulnerability. It’s about showing up to the weirdness and uncertainty—and finding meaning in all the things that don’t quite fit together.
